Appearing on the popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Baldwin finally addressed the rumors that she “stole” Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez.

Despite her denial, fans continued to speculate that Hailey was involved a bitter feud with Selena.

Now, Justin’s ex and his current wife have hopefully put the rumors to rest for good.

Both women were in attendance at the star-studded 2022 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles over the weekend, and they posed for a friendly photo together (above).

The pic was posted on photorapher Tyrell Hampton’s Instagram page with a caption reading simply, “Plot twist!”

The post instantly went viral, with comments from some well-known fans.

“I’m not one to get wrapped up in celeb drama & at the end of the day, it’s really just a pic (& none of my business!) But it does make me smile to see these boss babes out there setting the record straight,” wrote Reese Witherspoon’s daughter, Ava Phillippe, adding:

“Love + respect for you both!”

The photo (hopefully) concludes weeks of drama that began when Hailey opened up about the Selena situation in an interview for the first time.

“When him and I ever started like hooking up or like anything of that sort, he was not ever in a relationship ever, at any point,” Hailey said about Justin on “Call Her Daddy.”

“It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship.”

Hailey went on to reveal that she’s received a ton of hate from Selena fans in the years since she married Bieber.

“A lot of the hate, and the perpetuation, comes from the misperception, ‘Oh, you stole him.’ It comes from the fact that they wished he had ended up with someone else and that’s fine,” she said.

“You can wish that all you want but that’s just not the case.”

Hailey added that she has spoken to Selena since the wedding, saying, “There’s no drama, personally.”

After Hailey’s interview, Selena asked her fans to stop making derogatory comments about the model.

“Some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting, and it’s not fair, and no one, ever, should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen,” she said.

Sadly, the abuse appears to have continued in the wake of Selena’s public plea.

We hope that the sight of the two stars casually enjoying one another’s company will help fans see that the rumors of a feud are completely baseless.

Britney continued, citing videos “about sucking and licking on homemade ice cream!!!!”

“Who cares if the flaunt it ???” she asked. “THEY SHOULD !!!”

“Why would you stand firmly against girls getting attention JUST LIKE YOU and they have absolutely nothing ????” Britney asked.

She made some excellent points — about bodily autonomy, about joy, and about hypocrisy.

A full six years ago, Selena addressed some of her fans at an award show.

While discussing many topics, including self-love and a lack of need for external validation, she addressed social media.

“I don’t wanna see your bodies on Instagram,” Selena declared to the audience on stage in 2016. Instead, she wished to see “what’s in here” — their hearts and souls.

Maybe? But … Britney could have been describing a lot of people. She did not name anyone in her post.

On Friday, November 4, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me launched on Apple TV+ for the world to see.

“I wish you could feel what it feels like to be in my head,” she expressed to viewers.

Alek Keshishian directed the project, which includes a view of the ups and downs of her life over six years. That includes her breakdown and hospitalization.

In 2016, Selena canceled her Revival Tour after 55 dates. She checked into a treatment facility for her mental health — a battle that stemmed from her lupus.

But the documentary shows us Selena’s actual breakdown after her dress rehearsal. She feels worn down. And at the mention of her infamous ex, Justin Bieber, she laments that their names are forever linked.

“When am I going to be just good enough by myself?” she asks. “When am I going to be good just myself, not needing anyone to be associated with?”

The world knew that Selena has lupus. But the pain of that health struggle had made her physically weak.

Then came the exhausting pressures of performing. By 2018, the documentary reveals, Selena was hearing voices. This led to an episode of clinical psychosis.

Friends and former assistants speak to the camera about how Selena’s condition frightened them. They didn’t know how long it would last. And they weren’t sure if she truly wanted to live, at times.

Selena’s own mother, Mandy, did not know about this at the time. She learned when TMZ called to ask her about it.

“That’s why I say to my people that are the greatest friends and family especially my mom and my stepdad, Brian,” Selena expressed.

This is “because I shouldn’t have spoken to them the way that I did and it shouldn’t have treated them the way that I did some times…”

Selena admitted: “I remember certain things that I did. And I was really so mean. And so even to this day, I keep saying thank you and I’m sorry.”

But getting a diagnosis and treatment for bipolar disorder is just part of her treatment, not the end of it.

Selena had her comeback album, Rare, in 2019. The same year, she took a trip to Kenya with the WE Foundation.

And, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Selena suffered a lupus relapse.

Selena admitted to her close friends that she felt ready to leave behind her career. Even though millions love her for her talent and personality, it at times has not felt worth it.

“I want to quit so I can be happy and be normal like everyone else,” she confessed.

We do know that this is not the path that Selena chose. Instead, she has blown people away on Only Murders In The Building. And she continues to use her platform for good causes.

“Do these materialistic things make me happy? … I just didn’t like who I was, because I didn’t know who I was.”

It seems like Selena was just saying that she always felt like an outsider in the industry that made her famous.

But it’s not hard to see how Raisa might have felt slighted by her friend’s remarks.

After all, she might not be as famous as Selena or Taylor, but Francia is an actress, and therefore, a member of “the industry.”

Fans are split on the situation, with many defending Selena’s remarks.

Some might object to her naming the organ without Arnisen’s consent.

But like … it’s a name? You have to be H.P. Lovecraft levels of awful about naming things for it to be a problem.

The big deal for a certain section of those who follow Selena interviews, it seems, is about the kidney.

Sadly, we do not yet simply grow new organs for those who need them. Kidney transplants come from somewhere.

More than half a decade ago, Francia Raisa donated her kidney to Selena. It was a powerful gift and a wonderful gesture.

To say that some people had “questions” about why Selena didn’t immediately name-drop Francia to Fallon … well, that’s an understatement.

Some felt that it was tasteless. Others noted that it shed light on an apparent falling out between the two.

And then some people took it so, so much further.

In 2014, Selena Gomez received a diagnosis for lupus. The autoimmune disorder causes her body to attack itself.

She is able to combat this horrible illness with chemotherapy, which helps to save her life. However, like lupus itself, chemo ravages her body.

And so, too, does her current medication for lupus. When on it, Selena tends “to hold a lot of water weight,” she explained.

“And,” Selena continued, “that happens naturally.”

“When I’m off of it,” Selena shared of her lupus medication, “I tend to kind of lose weight.”

But while answering the impolite and even hostile “questions” about her body, Selena turned it into something positive. She always does.

Addressing her fans and followers, Selena affirmed that anyone having their own tough time with a personal situation should know that it’s okay.

Selena reminded everyone that “nobody knows the real story” behind their personal struggles and private pain.

“So I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful,” Selena emphasized.

Second, Selena seemed to admit to a girl-crush on Bella Hadid. And the context of this was item #3 — discussing her eyebrows. She admitted to having accidentally laminated them.

But apparently the term applies to an alternative to threading one’s eyebrows, where a beautician softens and reshapes eyebrow follicles.

Even though Selena Gomez is busy enjoying her successful career, some people cannot resist dragging her into headlines.

She was an innocent bystander in some mean girl drama this spring. Then, just weeks ago, people were pretty sure that she was hooking up with Zayn Malik.

Now, the chatter isn’t about who’s in Selena’s orbit — as friend or foe. It’s about who isn’t.

Did Selena just unfollow a series of extremely famous people, including Dua Lipa and Zayn?

Okay, so here is what we know. When last we (or anyone) checked, Selena Gomez unfollowed a slew of famous people.

Who made the list? Dua Lipa, Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Hadid.

Now, maybe she didn’t do these all at once. It’s possible that someone on the list was never on her following list to begin with, and no one noticed. Maybe.

All that we know is that Selena is not, at present, following them.

It’s possible that she wasn’t following all of them in the past. But she was certainly following some.

Maybe she unfollowed them here and there, and people only noticed now. (Unlikely) Perhaps she unfollowed them all at once. Or maybe, one or more of them soft-blocked her … effectively forcing her to unfollow them.

So, what does any part of this mean?

Last month, rumor had it that Selena was seeing Zayn Malik. There was even an alleged sighting of the two kissing at dinner.

While it was a relief when those rumors faded (many fans felt that Zayn, though hot, was bad news), unfollowing seems like a drastic move after a brief and unconfirmed fling (if that).

Just to be clear, this apparent unfollowing was not the first sign that she and Zayn weren’t together.

Selena has made it very clear that she is “single.”

But the unfollow (or whatever happened there) seems like it was more than just parting ways as friends. Especially when Selena is once and forever the Queen of Instagram.

Just last year, Selena and Dua Lipa both sounded 100% down to clown in terms of collaborating.

So … why aren’t they following each other? Nobody’s the baby daddy or sibling of anyone (um, to our knowledge). Which makes her seem kind of random.

Sometimes, people in the entertainment draw lines of loyalty. They don’t always become public knowledge. Or make sense.

Regardless, Selena does not enjoy drama.
