The Voice has nabbed its second big name in just a few days.
After announcing that Rihanna will come on board as a "key advisor" to all four famous coaches this fall, the NBC reality show has now roped in another beloved solo artist.
And it's someone Justin Bieber knows very well.
Indeed, People Magazine has confirmed that Selena Gomez will appear at times on the singing competition, acting as an advisor for Gwen Stefani’s team of aspiring stars.
She joins Brad Paisley, who will work in the same capacity for Blake Shelton; and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty, who is set to be an advisor for Adam Levine’s team.
It’s been a very busy summer for Selena, who made it clear a few months ago that she’s excited to get back into music.
In June, Gomez released the track “Good For You,” which features A$AP Rocky. And she’s planning to drop the album “Revival” on October 9.
“I’m very confident in this record and you can hear it,” Gomez told On Air with Ryan Seacrest of the album. “But I’m vulnerable, I’m real, and I think it just shows a different side of me, and I’m really excited, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.”
The Voice, meanwhile, kicks off Season 9 on Monday, September 21 at 8/7c.
