Generally, when someone who's old enough to drink compares you to their parents it makes you want to punch them in the jaw and then rush home to guzzle rosé until you can't feel feelings.
But when Selena Gomez called Jennifer Aniston a mother figure in a recent interview, we're guessing Jen took it as a compliment.
After all, Selena's been through a lot:
Multiple breakups with Justin Bieber, the downward spiral that seems to be an inevitable part of life post-Disney, more breakups with the Biebs, a weird feud with Kendall Jenner...You get the idea.
But after all that, we're now witnessing "The Rebirth of Selena," and apparently the former Mrs. Pitt is a part of this magic moment.
"She's amazing," Selena gushed about Jen in a recent interview. "She has a pizza oven. Like, we've made pizzas at her house. She's very cool and very sweet. She gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice."
Wow, a pizza oven?! It sounds like Jen is not just a regular mom, but a cool mom a la Amy Poehler in Mean Girls.
That's all very nice, but is it just us or is it a little weird that Selena declared her love for Jen the same day that Taylor Swift revealed how much she admires Angelina Jolie?
You guys might've been a little young when the whole Mr. & Mrs. Smith debacle went down, but let us fill you in:
You have to choose Team Jen or Team Angie. You can't be both! You're officially feuding now, whether you like it or not.
